June 6th, 2026 Annual Fundraiser

Our fifth Annual Santa Monica Animal Shelter Foundation Fundraiser was on Saturday, June 6th 2026, from 12-3 at the Santa Monica Animal Shelter.

We are an all volunteer run nonprofit and are only able to help the animals at the Santa Monica Animal Shelter thanks to the support from our community. We are very grateful to everyone who joined us, adopted, donated, volunteered and helped to make the day a successful fundraiser and a very fun afternoon. This year we also celebrated six years of the Santa Monica Animal Shelter Foundation.

At the fundraiser:

  • Tour the shelter and meet the animals waiting to be adopted, animals had reduced adoption fees and our friend, former Mayor Gleam Davis, sponsored the first two animals adopted at the event.

  • For a small donation you could win fantastic prizes from our raffle.

  • Bid on unique experiences in our silent auction.

  • Face painting by The Magical Atelier.

  • Troop 2 grilled up food.

  • Balloon animals from Wild About Balloons LA.

  • And more!

Raffle Prizes

The following fantastic raffle prizes were available to win for a donation at the fundraiser on Saturday, June 6th 2026.

Gift Certificates:

Gift Baskets:

  • ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospitals- Gift basket filled with goodies for your pet.

  • Buon Gusto Farms- Gift basket with three bottles of Buon Gusto Farms olive oil valued at $95.

  • Palms & Paws Veterinary Center- Two gift baskets, one for dogs and one for cats, each with a certificate for a free wellness exam, free heartworm and fecal test, a 6-month supply of Simparica Trio (pending a negative HWT) or Revolution Plus for cats, Palms and Paws Hat and a selection of pet toys and accessories.

  • Santa Monica Police Department- Gift basket from Santa Monica Police Department.

Raffle tickets were available for a donation in person only at the fundraiser on June 6th 2026, from 12-3pm. The raffle will took place at the end of the event at 3pm, all winners not present at 3pm were contacted. All items must be picked up by the winner at the Animal Shelter by Saturday, June 27th 2026, at 5pm.

 

Silent Auction

The following were part of the silent auction:

Ride-Along with the Santa Monica Harbor Officers

The wonderful opportunity to ride on a Harbor Patrol rescue boat and see Santa Monica in a new way.

  • 1 hour harbor tour with the Santa Monica Harbor Officers on the Monica 1.

  • Invite up to 10 guests to join you for this unique experience, participants must be at least 8 years old and any minor must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Valid through September 30, 2026.

Santa Monica Crime Scene Experience with the Santa Monica Police Forensics Department

A very unique opportunity to think like a Forensic Specialist and step into the scene, analyze the evidence and solve the case.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Process the scene

  • Collect and analyze evidence

  • Examine and interpret the clues

  • Build the case

  • 1-6 individuals, valid through June 6th, 2027.

 

Silent auction items were available to bid on in person only at the fundraiser from 12-3pm on June 6th 2026. At the conclusion of the event we contacted the highest bids.

All the items in our raffle and silent auction were been generously donated. We are extremely thankful for all the support!

 Past Open House Fundraisers

We are an all volunteer run nonprofit and are only able to help the animals at the shelter thanks to the incredible support from our community. We are extremely grateful to everyone who joins us, donates, adopts a pet, volunteers and helps to make our Annual Fundraiser a successful event and a very fun day!

Menu at Santa Monica Brew works with animal photos from the Santa Monica Animal Shelter

Santa Monica Brew Works-We have had two fun fundraisers at the wonderful Santa Monica Brew Works: October 2021 and July 2022. At both events they donated a percent of sales from their flagship beers to us. We had a great time and in addition to raising funds we were able to showcase many of the available animals at the Santa Monica Animal Shelter.

We also have had several events where you are able to visit a local business and raise funds to help the Santa Monica Animal Shelter. Such as June 6th, 2022 at The Counter Restaurant.
