June 7th, 2025, Annual Fundraiser

Thank you for joining us on June 7th, 2025 from 12-3 at the Santa Monica Animal Shelter for our 4th Annual Santa Monica Animal Shelter Foundation Fundraiser. We are an all volunteer run nonprofit and are only able to help the animals at the shelter thanks to the incredible support from our community. We are extremely grateful to everyone who volunteered, joined us, donated, adopted and helped make the day such a wonderful success!

At the fundraiser you had the opportunity to:

• Tour the shelter and meet the animals waiting to be adopted, many had reduced adoption fees and our friend, former Mayor Gleam Davis, sponsored the first dog and the first cat adopted at the event

• For a small donation you could win fantastic prizes from our raffle

• Bid on unique experiences in our silent auction

• Face painting by The Magical Atelier

• Balloon animals from Wild About Balloons LA

• Meet the Santa Monica Police Department Mounted Unit

• Burgers from Troop 2 Santa Monica

• Coffee and pastries from the Starbucks location at 2200 Colorado Ave.

Raffle Prizes

The following fantastic raffle prizes were available to win for a donation at the fundraiser on Saturday, June 7th 2025

Gift Certificates:

• Arthur Murray Dance Studios- Gift certificate for two private lessons valued at $240.

• Boa or Sushi Roku Restaurants- Gift certificate for $300.

• Balanced Dog Grooming-Gift certificate good at any location for a complimentary Bath & Brush, Tidy Trim or Complete Groom.

• Color me Mine-There are 2 chances to win a gift certificate to Color me Mine. Certificate is good for $20 ceramic + $10 studio fee for a party of 4, valued at $120.

• DNM8 Fitness-2 Gift certificates, each certificate is good for one month heavyweight membership and 150 credits (good for all classes and gym visits). Certificates are valued at $209 each.

• Knott’s Berry Farm-4 single day admission tickets valued at $399.96.

• LA Opera-2 complimentary orchestra level tickets to the closing night of LA Opera's Rigoletto at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on 6.21.25, doors open at 7:30pm.

• Offhand Wine Bar-Gift certificate for $50.

• Pacific Park-2 unlimited ride passes for Pacific Park at the Santa Monica Pier, valued at $100.

• Santa Monica Beach Volleyball-Gift certificate for a 4 pack of beach volleyball classes, valued at $120. All classes are adults only, ages 19+.

• Seline Restaurant- Gift certificate for $250.

• Shoreside Restaurant and Bar- Gift certificate for $100.

• Six Flags Magic Mountain- 2 one day admission vouchers for 2025 Season valued at $240.

• Six Flags Hurricane Harbor-2 one day admission vouchers for 2025 Season valued at $139.98

• Society Kitchen- Gift certificate for $50.

Gift Baskets:

• Bodega Wine Bar-Gift basket with a Bodega Wine Bar gift certificate for $50, a bottle of Animus 2021 Douro Red wine and a MiiR 360 traveler.

• Buon Gusto Farms-Gift basket filled with $140 of Buon Gusto Farms olive oil, two 750ml bottles and two 375ml bottles.

• Santa Monica Police Department-Gift basket from Santa Monica Police Chief Batista’s office.

• Starbucks 2200 Colorado Ave. location-Gift basket filled with Starbucks goods.

• Tavo Maeve™ Pet Car Seat and Roscoe™ Pet Stroller, size medium, car seat is color brindle. Retail price over $750. Gift donated by Palms & Paws Veterinary Center.

Raffle tickets were available for a donation at the fundraiser on June 7th 2025 from 12-3pm. The raffle took place at the end of the event at 3pm, all winners were contacted. Items must be picked up by the winner at the Animal Shelter by Saturday, June 28th 2025, at 5pm.

Silent Auction

The following were part of the silent auction

Ride-Along with the Santa Monica Harbor Officers-The wonderful opportunity to ride on a Harbor Patrol rescue boat and see Santa Monica in a new way.

• 1-hour Santa Monica Harbor tour

• Ride with the Santa Monica Harbor Officers on the Monica 1

• Invite up to 10 guests to join you on this unique experience, participants must be at least 8 years old.

Learning Experience with the Santa Monica Police Forensics Department-A very unique opportunity to spend ½ day (4 -6 hours) in the laboratory with Forensics.

• Lab Tour

• History of friction ridge (fingerprints) and review the process of the development in the lab

• History of forensic science

• Collection of evidence in the field (lab setting or tow yard)

• Preserving evidence for probative value

• Development of forensic evidence in the lab (to include making chemicals/using the chemicals on the evidence they collected/developing the evidence for court)

• How they locate suspects using the automated fingerprint identification system

• Presenting evidence to Detectives as a potential Lead

Silent auction items were available to bid on in person only at the fundraiser from 12-3pm on June 7th 2025. At the conclusion of the event we contacted the highest bids.

All the items in our raffle and silent auction were all generously donated. We are extremely thankful for all the support!

National Night Out August 1st, 2023.

More past events:

Santa Monica Brew Works-We have had two fun fundraisers at the wonderful Santa Monica Brew Works: October 2021 and July 2022. At both events they donated a percent of sales from their flagship beers to us. We had a great time and in addition to raising funds we were able to showcase many of the available animals at the Santa Monica Animal Shelter.

We also have had several events where you are able to visit a local business and raise funds to help the Santa Monica Animal Shelter. Such as June 6th, 2022 at The Counter Restaurant.
