Adopt kitten Charlie

We are looking to find a loving forever home for sweet kitten Charlie. Charlie is adorable, very loving and affectionate. He is a master biscuit maker, purrs loudly for all to hear, loves pets, cuddling and naps in the sunshine.

Charlie is a very special kitten, he is only 4 months old and has been through so much. A good Samaritan found Charlie in October and brought him to the Santa Monica Animal Shelter. Charlie was very under the weather when he arrived. We discovered the reason Charlie was so sick is he has feline infectious peritonitis. Although this sounds scary, Charlie has been on a GS-441524, an antiviral medication used for the treatment of feline infectious peritonitis so he can recover and achieve remission.

We are so happy to share that he is doing amazing! Through everything Charlie has been a champion, everyday taking his medicine and fighting to heal and get better. Now it is time to find sweet Charlie the most wonderful forever home.

Charlie needs a home where he will be an indoor only kitty. By staying in a safe indoor home with lots of cuddles and love Charlie will continue to heal and grow.

Charlie is 4 months old, male, black Domestic Shorthair. He arrived at the shelter on October 21st, 2025.

To meet Charlie visit the Santa Monica Animal Shelter and let staff know you are interested in Charlie, he is in a separate space. Staff will be happy to bring Charlie out to you so you can meet him and see what a great kitty he is.
